PTBJ: Learning from the Past, Looking to the Future

In many respects, PTBJ is an American success story.

CEO and President Jeanetta Hill was pursuing an entirely unrelated career path in the late 1980s when opportunities came along to decorate a couple of weddings. Those events showed Ms. Hill that she had ability and potential. And it wasn't too long before her entrepreneurial spirit took charge causing Jeanetta to strike out on her own and pursue event decorating full time.

Wedding decorating led to proms, which eventually led to event decorating projects for Fortune 500™ companies including Anheuser-Busch Companies, Bank of America and Charter Communications. We've also enjoyed landmark events along the way including dropping balloons for the President of the United States and entertaining the President of Ghana.

What began as a one person operation with a couple of side projects blossomed into a bona fide business with a full time staff and a 15,000 square foot warehouse. PTBJ now has offices in two cities (St. Louis, Detroit) and has managed special events projects in five states. After 20 years, more than 1,500 events and numerous awards, Personal Touches by Jeanetta has taken its place as a leading choice among event planners who appreciate innovation, quality and service.
